Now, with the hikes in the registration fee and reckoner rates, flats sales are bound to see a dip in 2010 - Satish Magar

However, District Collector Chandrakant Dalvi rejects the charge that the decision to increase Ready Reckoner Rates would escalate the property prices!

President of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) Pune:

"Hike in RRR coincides with hike in stamp duty. This is certainly unwarranted. This raise will now increase the prices of property by Rs 50-60 per sq ft. This will escalate property prices and take the costs higher"

District Collector:

"We have made a survey of prevailing property prices in all the zones and sub-zones of the city. In our observation, it has been found that the actual prices are much higher than what has been stated in the reckoner. The developers should not be worrying so much"
