Now, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to hike taxes up to 15%

Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Asheesh Sharma, to explain hike in property, entertainment, cleanliness, fire brigade, education, water and tree tax in coming week.

Municipal Commissioner says:
The proposal of increase in taxes is such that they would be increased only by 5 - 6 per cent.

Less than ten per cent of the population, which falls into the higher income bracket, would have to bear a 15 per cent increase in taxes.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has already proposed 22% hike in property tax.
