PMC property tax collection centres to remain open today, Sunday, 30th May 2010

May 31 is the last day for securing a rebate on property tax:

Pune Property tax collection centres to remain open today, 30th May 2010, Sunday

The property tax rebate scheme is now running in its second year under which the civic body offers tax rebate to citizens as an incentive for paying taxes in April and May — the first two months of the new financial year.

A 10% rebate is offered to those whose tax is below Rs25,000 and 5% for those with property tax above Rs25,000.

A total of 2.80 lakh property holders have paid tax amounting to Rs177 crore between April 1, 2010 and May 29, 2010. Read More:
