"Eco-Housing" program with an amendment to the Development Control (DC) rules to be cleared by next month

The eco-friendly program in Pune and Mumbai will be made mandatory for the entire Maharashtra:


An official of environment department said this was a climate-friendly step and by July, it would be implemented for all the new buildings after amendment to the DC rules.

The practices include rain water harvesting, water recycling, dual plumbing system, energy efficient lighting fixtures, solar water heaters, conservation of top soil.

To be applicable to all new structures, especially hotels, educational institutions, hospitals and big societies. :Read More
