High-rise buildings: Solution to the shortage of residential space in Pune city:
The proposal to allow construction of buildings with height of up to 100 metres was cleared by the civic body during the tenure of commissioner Pravinsinh Pardeshi. The proposal had come as a response to the shortage of residential accommodation in the city. The government, while clearing the PMC proposal, has divided the high-rise buildings into four categories: 36-40 metres, 40-50 metres, 50-70 metres and 70-100 metres. These categories will have to be constructed on plots admeasuring 2,000 square metres, 4,000 sq m, 6,000 sq m and 8,000 sq m, respectively and will require minimum access road width of 12 m, 15 m, 18 m and 24 m, respectively. ReplyDeleteThis will change the skyline of Pune if this comes true.
ReplyDeleteTo counter small land that we got, lets go high, higher and highest.
Prices too are high, so wait for price alone to come down. Also, since it is completing in 3 years, make sure you try to visit the place only after 2.5 years. Let them build first.

With this as backdrop of times that we are in, projects like one taken by Kumar builders is sure to disappoint the advocates of low cost housing.
How is response to this project? Whether Rs.4500/- per sq. ft is rate for built up area or carpet area?
