Disobeying God is a sin:
|
Ravi Karandeekar & Vetal Baba on 31st December 2017 |
Get up and go for a morning walk. Early in the morning, God told me.
Tell me something I love to do. I told him.
Don't you love morning walks? You came to me on the morning of 31st December. God said.
Come on! Don't try to pull my legs. You don't look like Vetal Baba. I said.
I am. God said.
If you are - then don't you know about my knee injury? Last 3 weeks, I am not able to walk properly. I said.
I know. Still, I order you to go for a morning walk. God said.
Sorry. It's impossible for me to walk all the way up to Vetal Tekdi. I said.
Go somewhere else! God said.
You know? I like the wilderness - an area of land that has not been used to grow crops or has no town and no roads built on it. I said.
Then take a morning walk on Ramashetti Road in Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa. God said.
Are you mad? There are no trees like we have here! I said.
You didn't say what you want - you only said what didn't. As far as I know, there are no crops, no roads, no human settlements in this part of Keshav Nagar. Go. Walk. It's my order. God said.
Okay. I said and took a walk on Ramashetti Road in Keshav Nagar. After all, disobeying God is a sin. Here is what I saw there -

ReplyDelete- LoL. This arhictect & builder certainly needs a special award for this !
And in all these pics, the first 3 were the only real nice pics.
Rest were simply ghost projects or ghost projects in the making.
In developed countries, outskirts are meant for low rises, townhouses etc. but it is only here that even in outskirts where there is ample of land, highrises are built for which even basic infra is not there & still builders demand prices as it it's San Franciso suburbs !!
Btw, looking at these pics & to keep mood light, just remembered one funny article on faking news -
Man had to take another flight to reach the building that was described as “Short drive away from Delhi Airport” by the builder -
A client who had come to Delhi to see a flat that was described as “Short drive away from Delhi Airport” had to take another flight to Chandigarh to see the flat after he discovered that the building is actually in Zirakpur, Punjab. The man, Satya Prakash, is looking for a flat in Delhi NCR and has become the latest victim to fall prey to misleading advertisements by real estate builders and developers.
Writing “A short drive away from IGI Airport” in every advertisement is standard practice for all builders in the north of India even if the building is located hundreds of KMs from Delhi Airport. Satya Prakash saw one such ad by ‘Maa Kasam Honest Builders’ and flew down from Mumbai to Delhi to finalize the deal. When he landed here, he was in for a rude shock as the real estate agent asked him to take another flight to Chandigarh.

O whats your point Ravi Karandeekar?. Early settlers from Europe moved to un-manned continents of America, Australia Alaska etc. Today many of the best living cities are in this / non-habitual part of the world. Life expectancy, per ca-pita income and health and happiness index are among the highest in these countries. Check cities with highest happiness index. Not many years ago (1995) Kothud was habitual as well. There were dusty roads, no tress, no water, no bus connectivity and no decent schools. But today scenario is completely changed. Pune's strength is; it attracts young talent from across the state and country and they work hard and bring development. Not a necessarily a bad phenomenon.
ReplyDeleteThere is a huge difference between comparing buying house in jungle vis a vis establishing colonies. Europeans didn'tt settle for buying house there, they came to create colony & grab the resources which those areas offered.
DeleteNow by this logic, if East India Co. can come to India from UK, a person who can buy a flat at Dubai should spend similar amount to buy a flat at Bhugaon !!
As far as Kothrud is concerned, just like another area, it too developed but there is huge difference - In 1997 it was part of PMC & more importantly, when you see the purchase in terms of PPP or Power Purchasing Parity, buying at Kothrud then was much more affordable than what it is today.
If you want to compare Kothrud of 1995 with 2018 Keshavnagar, see the salary : flat price ratio which should be constant which is not the case, hence it's you pay first class prices for third class location.
The prices of Pune is several areas is expensive than Dubai. So do people migrate here because quality of life or infra in Pune is better than Dubai ?
Cattle-free Pune: PMC plans to shift all cattlesheds to Mundhwa Keshavnagar by December-end
DeleteThe Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to shift all cattlesheds in the city to Mundhwa-Keshavnagar by the yearend, a step, it feels, will ease the inconvenience caused to traffic by stray cattle. There are around 547 cattlesheds in PMC’s jurisdiction.

Builders can offer this as added amenities & hike prices even more :P
