Vastushodh Projects' police complaint against Ravi Karandeekar

Yes! The police complaint was about my blog - "5 Reasons why you must not book a flat in Vastushodh Projects' UrbanGram & AnandGram"!!


Vastushodh Projects' Police Complaint - Ravi Karandeekar's Statement

Police enquiry was short & sweet.

Yesterday, at noon, I went to Kothrud Police Station with my son. An officer at the entrance asked me, "Why are you here?" When I told him about the complaint, pointing at the chairs in the lobby, the police officer said, "Wait for a few minutes - Bhosale Patil Saheb is in a meeting"

We took the chairs. Went on looking around nervously. After a few minutes, Bhosale Patil Saheb came out of his cabin and asked me,"Are you waiting to see me?" When I said yes and gave him the reference, he told me to come in. Asking about my cataract operation, Bhosale Patil Saheb gave me a copy of Vastushodh Projects' complaint.

I read the complaint. Yes! It was about my blog - "5 Reasons why you must not book a flat in Vastushodh Projects' UrbanGram & AnandGram".

I will talk about the Vastushodh Projects' complaint in my next blog. My dear friend Sachin Kulkarni wants me to publish it on my blog. On Facebook, Sachin Saheb has said -
"Dear Mr Karandeekar, having read your new stunt of becoming the Hero of virtual netizens, let me officially educate your readers,who are reacting only on your side of the story ! Also have the guts to verify the nature of the police complaint filed by me, and publish the same on your "educative" blog !"

How can I say no to my dear friend? I will publish Vastushodh's complaint - as soon as Sachin Kulkarni sends it.

After I finished reading, Bhosale Patil Saheb asked me a few questions about me & my blogging.

"Keeping in mind the interest of home buyers, I have expressed my opinion about Vastushodh Projects' offer. As a blogger, it's my job," I said.

Bhosale Patil Saheb called one police officer and told him to take my statement. I went with him to his cabin and gave my statement in Marathi. He typed it and asked me to read. After I finished reading, the officer took out the printout and gave me the copy.

I thanked the police officers and came out of Kothrud Police Station.
"You know - why we have police?," I asked my son.
"Yes! To protect good and to punish evil," said my son.
"Yes! सदरक्षणाय खलनिग्रहणाय - Sadrakshnāya Khālanīghrahanāya," I said.

Vastushodh Projects files police complaint against Ravi Karandeekar

Is the police complaint about my blog - "5 Reasons why you must not book a flat in Vastushodh Projects' UrbanGram & AnandGram"?


Vastushodh Projects files police complaint against Ravi Karandeekar - Kothrud Police Station Samajpatra

Yes! My dear friend Sachin Kulkarni, Managing Director of Vastushodh Projects, has filed police complaint against me!!

According to the samajpatra (समजपत्र) from Kothrud Police Station the complaint is -
1) I am misleading people by sharing false information about Vastushodh Projects.
2) By writing not that good words about him - I am spoiling Sachin's image.

The complaint doesn't mention any particular blog. But I assume it must be about my recent blog - 5 Reasons why you must not book a flat in Vastushodh Projects' UrbanGram & AnandGram.

Because, after posting more than 250 blogs in the last 5 years, for the first time, in my recent blog I have written - Do not book a flat in Vastushodh Projects' AnandGram & UrbanGram.

Certainly, recommending not to book in Vastushodh Projects was emotionally sad decision. But ethically it was a rational decision.

I write Ravi Karandeekar's Pune Real Estate Market News Blog for you - the property buyers. And it's my duty to give you my honest reviews & recommendations. Irrespective of my personal relationships with the builders. Without bothering about the consequences.

I am always ready to pay the price for my freedom of speech. But not my neighbours.

My neighbour couldn't control her tears when she told me how police questioned her when they found my flat locked.

"Why do put your life in danger by writing against the builders?," asked my neighbour.

"I don't write against the builders. I write for the property buyers," I told her.

"Writing for the property buyers - means - writing against the builders! Isn't it?," said my neighbour.

"Not really! You are witness. I am writing a blog for last 7 years. How many times in the last 7 years - did the police come to catch me?," I asked her.

"Never before. Not once in the last 7 years. Today was the first time. Aren't you frightened?," said my neighbour.

"No. Because - I know jo dar gaya samjho mar gaya," I said.

Let us see what happens tomorrow when I report at Kothrud Police Station.

AnandGram Ketkawale - Photo Visit

Who is more powerful? IT or God?


Yesterday afternoon, at AnandGram Ketkawale (www.anandgram.in), I was struggling to blog live. I wanted to blog -  launch of AnandGram Ketkawale live. But Tata Docomo and Airtel let me down. I was on the verge of giving up the idea of Live Blogging. When I was in this irritated mood, Sneha called me to ask about my blog on Nano Homes Ravet which was offering a 1 BHK Flat for 12 Lakhs & a 2 BHK Flat for 15 Lakhs in 2009.

"Is there any project in PCMC which offers a flat in 13 - 15 lakhs?," Sneha asked.

"Sorry, Sneha. I don't know any," I said.

"Marunji - Kasarsai - Chande - Nande - will also be okay," Sneha said.

"Sorry, Sneha. I don't know," I said.

I keep count of how many times in a day I say these 2 sentences -
1) Sorry, I don't know.
2) Go to consumer court & demand compensation.
This was was my 50th "Sorry, I don't know." of the day.

"Are you busy? Should I call after sometime? I want to invest 13 - 15 lakhs in property - Can you suggest me some good projects?," Sneha said.

"AnandGram Ketkawale - read my latest blog," I said.

"Where is this location? I haven't heard about it. Is it near IT?," Sneha asked.

"Why do you need  IT?," I asked.

"Appreciation is more, re-selling is easy if the property is near IT park. Isn't it?," Sneha asked.

"You are from IT. You know the power of IT. Right, Sneha?," I asked.

"Yes!," Sneha said.

"Sneha, who is more powerful? IT or God?," I asked.

"Certainly, God!," Sneha said.
