Good morning, friends. I am Ravi Karandikar.
You know me as the Pune real estate blogger.
From 2007 to nearly the end of 2019, I was writing Ravi Karandikar's Pune real estate market news blog.
Since then, I stopped writing that blog.
Currently, I am focusing on redevelopment in the Kothrud area.
Why did I stop writing the blog?
Frankly speaking, I was really tired because I had been doing it for nearly 12 years, from 2007 to 2019.
I also got tired because of the physical efforts required.
Another major reason was COVID. During that time, I couldn't move out of my home.
You remember my original way of posting was **ground reporting** I used to visit each and every launch of a project in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and the fringe villages to cover the event and post news about the project.
My content wasn't just coverage. I used to review the project planning, study it, and write about the history of the project or the builder.
Before 2007, I actually worked for developers from 2001 to 2007, so I knew how they thought and operated.
I felt that experience promoted me to enlighten the buyers.
From 2007 onward, I considered myself working for the property buyers in Pune.
People were always worried about builders, as nobody trusts a builder.
They wanted advice on whether a builder was genuine, delivered on time, or had good construction quality.
More importantly, I used my blog and YouTube channel to cover projects where **builders cheated the buyers** and encouraged the victims to speak about it.
Mainstream media never wrote about the wrongdoings of builders because advertising from builders was their main revenue source.
The victims had only social media, and I was their main mouthpiece.
This was stressful; I was fighting against wrongdoings and was threatened from many sides.
Now, I am 70 years old.
I am sort of retired,
focusing on Kothrud redevelopment,
but I miss the entire Pune real estate market.
Now, I am thinking I should pay some attention to the entire market again.
My followers told me that nobody wants to read long blogs anymore.
They prefer to watch videos—long videos, short videos, even Reels.
My followers claimed my advice was helpful, and they feel there is **nobody who is neutral, who is critical, and who has buyers' interests in their mind** right now to guide them to make the right decision.
This is why I have been encouraged to prepare videos on the entire Pune real estate market, and I will do so in English, as I used to write my blog in English
Writing in English I was comfortable with, but talking in English in a video format makes me feel a little uncomfortable.
This is my first attempt at making a video to continue posting on my channel.
I know I am not good at this yet.
I encourage and request you to suggest how I can improve and how I can share useful information with you.
I am looking forward to continuing and renewing our old relationships.
Thank you.
