Is this news about R. K. Lunkad Group's Alankapuram at Wadmukhwadi on Alandi Road?

Without waiting for the government sanction for its draft development plan (DP), Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) converts a plot in Wadmukhwadi reserved for "industrial purposes" into "residential zone!"

This is the second time in a month that the civic administration finds itself in an embarsassing situation. Earlier, the construction of four floors at the 12-floor Midori Towers in Pimple Nikah was found to be illegal.

Municipal Commissioner Asheesh Sharma said he would seek information from his officers about the residential project on a nine-acre plot in Wadmukhwadi, which was merged with the PCMC in 1997. "I have received a complaint. The project was sanctioned before I took charge as commissioner. I will have to verify the details."

"The building permission department has permitted construction of 344 flats and several row of houses despite objections raised by its own town planning department."

The deputy director of town planning had, in a letter dated 15 February, 2008, to the building permission department, said it would not be appropriate to change the status of the land till the draft DP was approved. Read More:

Alankapuram at Wadmukhwadi on Alandi Road - Visit to R. K. Lunkad Group's upcoming township of affordable 1 BHK, 2 BHK & 3 BHK Flats and Shops

This weekend, when i visited the site of KDS Aangan & KDS Dham, i visited Alankapuram too. My friend, Abhay Firake (http://nucleusint.com/), who is doing an interior of the sample flat, was happy to show me the site.

Abhay thinks that it's too early to show it, Alankapuram site, to anybody and i completely disagree with him, because:

1) Even at this stage of the development, I am sure, you can get a feel of this beautiful site.

2) An opportunity to invest in affordable township - developed by the "known" and "reliable" builder - in "virgin" location in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad is rare! For example:
1) 2001 - 2002 - Kunal Icon at Rahatani, Aundh annexe - Property rate Rs.700 per sq.ft.
2) 2004 - 2205 - Ganga Constella at Kharadi Pune - Property rate Rs. 950 per sq.ft.
3) 2009 - Celestial City at Ravet, Pradhikaran, PCMC - Property rate Rs. 2,400 per sq.ft.
