Withdraw artificial water cut, says civic activist

Why PMC is not lifting water from the canal...!?

Sajag Nagrik Manch president Vivek Velankar in a letter to Municipal Commissioner Mahesh Zagade has said that the water cut being implemented in the city is an artificial one as there is enough water and the citizens cannot tolerate this.

"The water resources department has clearly stated that as long as water is flowing through the canal, PMC can use it. Citizens accepted this uncertainty and are cooperating. But they fail to understand why the civic body is not lifting the water from the canal," Vivek Velankar said. Dinesh Thite - DNA
