Some builders in Pune haven't gone out of business yet

PNB Housing Finance Property Expo Pune 2017, organized on 7th & 8th October, proves that some builders in Pune are still in business!

The response was poor. Mainly because of the poor promotion. One sales executive said.

The venue was wrong. The other sales executive said.

Paranjape Schemes rules on Prabhat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Law College Road. Not Kolte-Patil - Solitaire - Pate - Pristine - Siddhashila - ABIL. Some sales executive said.

If HDFC had been the organizer - response would have been better. One more sales executive said.

What is your opinion, Ravi? Someone asked me.

In the current market, how many builders participate in the exhibition is more important than how many people visit it. I said.

Cheer up guys! All of you still have your jobs. Your builders are still in business. What more do you want? I said.

What say you?

Aren't we all worried about the builders in Pune?

  1. The builders still don't understand that unless prices are reduced, flats are delivered on time with good quality & the promises made during booking are not kept, sales will not happen, no matter how many ads in newspapers are given & how many exhibitions are held. Flat buyers of today are lot more mature than what they were during the boom period, especially because most went with the flow back then & launching project was difficult than selling because any sadak chap builder with any project at any junk location used to get buyers, if not end users, atleast the hoarders whose intention was only to only see price hikes on monthly basis & black money crooks who found real estate as safe haven to park their ill-gotten money.

Today's market is completely end user driven & that too who have white money. Therefore, there is no hurry for them to rush to buy flats. And as the property prices are only falling, it makes no sense to jump in either even on financial terms.

Following are latest news about Pune. It simply shows that people are now least concerned about real estate & prefer to put their money elsewhere. Hence, sales of real estate has drastically fallen while that of vehicles has seen significant jump in sales. PMC has seen it's revenue from building permissions crash by whopping more than 80% in first 6 months compared to their estimate of revenue.

Real estate slowdown hits PMC -

In the first six months of this financial year, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has collected less than 20 per cent of its targeted revenue from building permissions, indicating a major slump in the real estate sector in the city. The PMC has earned approximately Rs 195.64 crore in the first six months. Earlier, it had been estimated that the civic body would earn about Rs 1,025 crore from building permission charges in this financial year.

Pune RTO sees 25 per cent rise in vehicle registration on Dussehra -

Dussehra turned out to be a good time for the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) as the office registered 25 per cent increase in vehicle registration and 32 per cent increase in their revenues.

As against 4,540 motorcycles registered last year, 5,741 bikes were registered this year. Against 1,760 cars registered last year, 2,075 cars were registered this year. This year, 873 transport vehicles were registered while last year 616 such registrations were recorded. The total tax collected during this period was Rs 26,96,42,856 which was Rs 20,29,46,261 last year — a growth of 32 per cent.
