Has the Chief Minister taken any steps to end Builder Mafia Raaj in Pune?

What about Grahak Panchayat's Andolan - "Builder Mafia Raaj Hatao - Pune Flat Buyers Bachao"?




Two months ago, Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat Pune published a list of 40 builders in Pune who have looted & cheated flat buyers and appealed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra to take action against them.

1) Prepare a task force for giving flat possession to the buyers who are waiting for years.

2) Against some builders only an FIR is lodged - take action against them under MCOCA - Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999.

3) Order Economic Offence Wing of Pune Police to take action against the builders who have committed financial crime of selling car parking, and extorting money from the flat buyers under the names of infrastructure & development charges, society formation charges, electric meter charges, club membership, maintenance charges etc.

And see that the builders refund those moneys back to the flat buyers.

4) Order PMC, PCMC, & PMRDA officers to take actions against the builders who are giving illegal possession without obtaining completion & occupancy certificate.

5) Punish the builders who have violated environmental clearance.

6) Order Pune Police to register the FIR filed by the flat buyers against their builder.

If the above actions are not taken within a month, Grahak Panchayat warned the Chief Minister that it will start andolan against builder mafia raaj in Pune.

Grahak Panchayat's timing was perfect. In the same month Pune Police have busted the Maple Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scam. Obviously, newspapers & tv channels covered the news quite well and gave good publicity.

But what about the action?
In the last 2 months, has the Chief Minister taken any steps to end Builder Mafia Raaj in Pune?

And what about you, Pune flat buyers?
Are you refusing or still paying infrastructure & development charges, society formation charges, electric meter charges, club membership, maintenance charges etc. to the builder?

  1. Use kya lena dena aapake ghar se. Agar wo ye sab dekhne laga to politics kaun khelega.
    Has anyone noticed the mhada house rates in mumbai. Even builders scared of its cost.

  2. There has to be a separate court for real estate issues like they have fast track courts for settlement of accident claims! As most of the cheat builders takes advantage of prolonged judicial systems, gets stay & then for concerned govt agencies its ready answer " builder has taken stay so we can take any action as matter is now in court", I think all the grahak panchayat guys should demand is separate courts at district level for real estate! Just the way we have family courts & that too on fast track, remember its delayed justice which makes fraud builders dare more!

    1. And till this happens, buyers shouldn't buy under-construction flats at all. Opt for ready possession flats with all approvals. Once buyers do this, crooks/builders will automatically be thrown out of the market.

  3. Frankly, there is hardly anything CM can do even to catch a roadside thief. Thief is caught by cops & booked under various sections of IPC. Similarly, what will catch buyers is not CM but RERA. If the court gives it's decision, even ministers end up in jail like Chaggu Armstrong (now arm-weak).

    Also some good news for buyers who are cheated by these crook builders who can refer to these cases while putting forth their cases in respective courts.

    And here comes another crook builder of Pune, City corporation, builders of Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar (and former promoters of Lavasa) where buyers have filed cases against builder for cheating. Even worse is such thugs are cheating buyers who also belong to armed forces protecting our country. These builders are nothing but Lashkar-e-CREDAI.

    PMRDA to hear homebuyers' plea today :

    A section of homebuyers have moved the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) against the grant of occupancy certificate (OC) to a housing project for armed forces personnel developed by City Corporation Limited as part of the Amanora Township off the Hadapsar-Kharadi bypass.

    This case will also give us idea about how serious is PMRDA about proper development of Pune & nearby areas alongwith seriousness to deal with cheaters & crook builders in Pune which are part of Lashkar-e-CREDAI.

    If buyers want to avoid all such headache, buy ready for possession flat with all approvals or even better to stay on rent at fraction of cost.
