San Jose, CA, June 01, 2017 - (Press Release)- Today the peer-to-peer real estate company Reobee launched the first and only online marketplace that helps connect non-resident Indians with their peers to buy and sell real estate in India.

Reobee's goal is to establish itself as the trusted, truthful solution to the many hurdles that plague Indian-Americans, expats and temporary immigrants that may want to take advantage of the booming market for buying and selling apartments in India.

Sources placed the total amount of expat investment in India's eight largest cities at nearly $10 billion by the end of the calendar year 2016. Real estate is already the country's second-largest employer after agriculture, and the market is projected to grow by as much as 30 percent in the next decade, with Non-Resident Indian (NRI) investments expected to account for anywhere from one-fifth to one-third of those investments.

The booming trend in expat investments is driven by a combination of factors: a devalued rupee, more conducive regulations and cultural norms, and the high return on investment that Indian expats enjoy on these properties. But finding a reliable, trustworthy connection to their peers has been a struggle for Indian expats.

Reobee is poised to solve that problem by offering a standardized, reliable marketplace in which expat Indians can introduce themselves and communicate securely with peers that are also interested in Indian real estate, and examine properties from afar.

Because the lack of a stable peer-to-peer platform has been a primary impediment to the non-resident Indian real estate, it's possible that Reobee's introduction will help this rapidly growing market boom even more than projected. Reobee is the only online market of its kind, and its potential audience of non-resident Indians numbers about 30 million, or roughly the entire population of Canada. And that population's growing investment power is almost incomparable, with some estimates putting it at $29 billion in 2015, up from $200 million in 2000.
