Pul-proof nonsense!

Nobody can beat the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) when it comes to being shameless.


The civic body, which is one of India’s most important administrative systems, turned down a request for information that should have been in the public domain, with a shabby excuse: they don’t have any records.

A Right to Information (RTI) plea for this information was made by the president of the Janhit Foundation, Rajesh Shende.

This is the third such instance when the PMC cited lack of records as the reason for not giving information about the city’s infrastructure, which is built using the tax-payers’ money.

In this case, Shende wanted to know about the bridges in the city and their status.
