Pimpri Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) invites bids for the construction of a new subway near Akurdi railway station

The subway will benefit residents of Akurdi, Ravet and Nigdi:

An official in the engineering department of PCNTDA said the subway will have two 7.5 metre wide carriageways for vehicles. The total width of the subway is 15 metres.

He said there will be two lanes on both sides for vehicles which will enable more vehicles to use the subway. Light commercial vehicles (LCVs), cars, rickshaws and two-wheelers can use the subway to cross the railway tracks. Heavy vehicles, however, will not be allowed to use the subway.

The project will be completed within 18 months from the date of issue of work order.
