1 & 2 BHK Flats in Chikhali Moshi - Main Attraction at Gruha Pravesh, HDFC Property Exhibition

Occupy Dehu Alandi Road?

14 Reasons People Are Occupying Wall Street

"What a way to take revenge of Occupy Wall Street!," looking at the crowd at Gruha Pravesh, HDFC's Property Exhibition at Chinchwad, i started wondering.

What's going on here? Has the foreign bank HDFC Ltd. launched the mission "Occupy Dehu Alandi Road" or what? Because most of the projects displayed in HDFC property exhibition were located in Chikhali & Moshi on Dehu Alandi Road!

7.7 percent and 99 percent:

There were many groups of workers in their company uniforms at the HDFC property exhibition. In the days of poor industrial output, dipping GDP growth and out of control inflation, how can these 99 percent dare to take an additional liability of paying pre-EMI of the home loan?

I caught hold of one in the uniform and asked, "Buying a home? Aren't you taking a big risk? Not worried about slow down?"

"“Dar ke aage jeet hai! Today, i can buy a 2 BHK in Chikhali and Moshi. Tomorrow, who knows? I may not afford to buy a home in PCMC! Property rates keep on going up - right?," he said.

"Why should you take the risk? Let HDFC take the risk of financing the builder. It's their business! Not yours!!," i said.

"HDFC's business is to help the buyers - not the builders!," he said.

The industrial worker in the uniform didn't bother to hear my sarcastic "Really!?" So, i continued exploring the affordable real estate projects in Chikhali and Moshi. Two out of 18 villages merged with PCMC in 1997.

Have a look at my list of 1 BHK & 2 BHK Flats in Chikhali and Moshi in PCMC displayed in HDFC Gruha Pravesh.

  5. @punehomebuyer
    my 2 cents here...
the way you grow up your kid will have more effect rather than crowd he lives with. I have seen my schoolmates living in precious area like Anandnagar, kothrud(assumed to be very good culture area) got messed up with their carrier later but many other who were living in comparatively lower grade places are doing excel today...

you will find lot more such examples...
anyways, now a days *good crowds* can also be seen in rave parties around pune... :-)

  6. Amolw, excellent observations.
Pune home buyer, my friend was worried about her 3 yr old daughter socialising too much with the cook's daughters. Her daughter recently picked up a fight with her 'better class' friends in the colony park and I was pleasantly surprised to see how sensibly and politely the cook's girls resolved the disagreement.
We really should get off our high horse about how better we are than others. My maid has better sense than most women who live where I do.
I'd rather a simple and honest crowd greet me than an executive IT crowd who doesn't care a fig about their neighbours.

Ravi, good post, by the way. I'm warming up to the idea of Chikli.
