Registration office to digitise its archives

The state department of registration and stamps has undertaken the task of computerising its archives, which will enable officials to get information of any property at the click of a mouse.
The state registrar office has documents prepared from 1885 onwards, which need to be referred to from time to time. "These documents would be digitised and made available to the staff. High-end computers and servers will take only a few seconds to find the current location of any document that would be required for official purpose," an official said.

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has been asked to develop a software.
