Old zero load-sheddding model to continue for another 15 days

49 paise per unit:

The old zero load-shedding model, where additional power was secured from interim franchisee Tata power company to prevent load shedding in Pune, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Vashi, will remain in force for the next 15 days with the old reliability charge of 49 paise per unit.

21 paise per unit:

The new zero load-shedding (ZLS) model approved by the Maharashtra electricity regulatory commission (Merc) on November 30 with a reliability charge of 21 paise per unit will be implemented by the Maharashtra state electricity distribution company ltd (MSEDCL) after it secures additional 575 MW power needed to make Pune, Thane, Vashi, Nagpur, Amravati and Aurangabad free from load-shedding.
