Kondhwa: Pune's emerging terror nest

Prime Location:

This news reminds us that builder builds wherever he gets the plot of land and calls it 'the prime location' or 'the most convenient location'.

Location may be near Airport, on the expressway, out side the Pune Municipal Corporation limits - in the Gram Panchayat, on the bank of a polluted river, on the hill slope or near Hinjewadi - where actually we should develop IT parks.

Most of us see through this claim and question about the essential shopping, lack of infrastructure - mostly road and water, pollution, old, not so attractive, residential developments - 'basti' but how can we decide whether this neighborhood is safe for our family? By visiting the police station of the area?

Please, read this news about Kondhwa and share your views about "choosing the right locations for your home in Pune" in the comments. You can share your experiences and opinion about a particular area, neighborhood, location in the comments. (Please, read the comments policy of Ravi Karandeekar's Blogs)
The arrests of four suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) members from the Kondhwa area of Pune and the revelation that they had used a plush flat at Ashoka Mews to fine-tune their plans to send terror emails and hack into WiFi networks has left local residents shocked.
