  1. Ravi,

I really think it is morally improper for well to do people to apply for these flats. These flats are clearly targtted towards low income people and people really intending to stay in such flats should be the ones who should actually apply.

By terming it as 'hot' on your blog, you are simply encouraging investors and speculators to apply for these flats which clearly defeats the objective of constructing such projects. Whats the point if well to do people who can afford flats worth 40+ lac get hold of one of these flats? They'll simply flip these flats post posession at higher market prices and make a cool buck. Was that the objective in mind when these 'affordable' flats were constructed?

  2. I think the application process should ideally have required that people submit a proof that they have income less than certain threshold or maybe they could have stipulated that owners cannot see for x number of years after posession.

That way it could be nsured that only those really intending to live here are buying.

You are right!.... But by hot i only mean "hot Google search trend"......or Was it a real estate salesman in my subconscious, who cares only for the number of bookings and does not bother who books it?........I have to find out!....of course....i agree with you about investors and speculators. Thanks!

  4. submit a proof that they have income less than certain threshold or maybe they could have stipulated that owners cannot see for x number of years after possession. You are right but...we have given up socialism...now it's free market economy....the project is not done by some government agency...but by a global investor!
